For the first time in its history, Stanford's "Three Books" program won't include three books. It will feature the book Fargo Rock City: A Heavy Metal Odyssey in Rural Nörth Daköta, the 2007 film My Kid Could Paint That and the apps MadPad, Ocarina and I Am T-Pain.

Feast to Famine: Global Politics of Food and Water, a film series hosted by the Division of International, Comparative and Area Studies, focuses on the culture and politics of two important commodities. One film, Even the Rain, features actor Gael García Bernal.

Cantor Arts construction: The Cantor Arts Center will remain open during restoration and construction this summer. The skylight that illuminates the lobby is being restored.
