Stanford opens research center at Peking University

The Stanford Center at Peking University opened Wednesday, drawing hundreds of academics, donors and government officials. Stanford is the first American university to construct a building for its use on a major Chinese campus.

Under Stanford's Language and Orientation Tutoring Program, humanities graduate students help international graduate students improve their English language skills and offer them insights into America's academic and popular culture.

Joe Grundfest weighs in on culture at Goldman Sachs

  • Department moves announced: The Office of Business Affairs Finance and Facilities is announcing the moves of several departments, including University Human Resources, to Porter Drive and around campus. See the Porter Drive website for more information.
  • Nomination deadline for Sterling Award: The nominations deadline is March 30 for the Alumni Association's J. E. Wallace Sterling Award and the Class of '12 Award of Excellence. The Sterling Award recognizes a graduating senior whose undergraduate leadership and volunteer activities have made the largest impact on the Stanford community. The Class of '12 Award of Excellence recognizes graduating seniors who have demonstrated a sincere commitment to the university through involvement, leadership and extraordinary Stanford spirit.
