Physicists at SLAC bring the universe to big screens

The mysteries of the universe are being revealed in stunningly beautiful full-color, high-definition 3-D videos on a huge screen at SLAC. They also are featured in planetarium shows in New York City and San Francisco.

Scholar cooks up courtly culture of Europe in 1600s

Grad student Molly Taylor-Poleskey's study of 17th-century food and dining practices yields compelling information about a society struggling to rebuild after the Thirty Years War. They ate a lot of meat, and everyone drank beer.

Fast Food Nation author: Focus on social justice

During a recent talk at the Graduate School of Business, author Eric Schlosser warned that the food movement, like the environmental movement before it, risks losing touch with its democratic roots.
