William McDonough, one of the superstars of the environmental movement, will be donating his extensive archives and professional papers to Stanford University Libraries. His partnership with Stanford is seen as a new kind of "living archive."

On Jan. 15 at noon, there will be a special concert to introduce the new Bing Concert Hall to faculty and staff. Performers will include the Applebaum Jazz Piano Duo, violinist Robin Sharp, mezzo-soprano Wendy Hillhouse and pianists Laura Dahl, Frederick Weldy and Thomas Shultz.
