Pac-12 championship game comes to Stanford Stadium

After their 35-17 victory over UCLA in Pasadena on Saturday, Cardinal football clinched the Pac-12 North Division championship. On Friday, Nov. 30, Stanford will play UCLA again in the Pac-12 Football Championship Game, this time on the Farm.

Underwater robots navigate treacherous ocean terrain

Underwater robots just got smarter. Engineers have developed a system that allows autonomous underwater vehicles to better anticipate obstacles in their path, enabling them to photograph treacherous, distant reaches of the ocean floor.

Bike coordinator strives to make 'helmet hair' cool

Turning students who think wearing a helmet is "geeky" into believers is one of the goals of Parking & Transportation's bicycling program and of Ariadne Scott, who has served two stints as Stanford's bicycle program coordinator.

Campus Announcements

  • Friday parking: In preparation for the championship football game, the Track House and Varsity/Sunken Diamond parking lots will be closed to commuters starting at 10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, through Friday Nov. 30. Both lots will be reserved for valid Track House or Sunken Diamond Pac-12 Football Championship Game parking permits only. Displaced commuters (“A” or “C” permit holders) will be allowed to park in Galvez Field or Eucalyptus Grove/Lot #9 on Nov. 30 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. For details, see the full announcement.
