Who needs the humanities at 'Start-up U'? Everyone does

Stanford magazine takes a look at the efforts of historians, philosophers and literary scholars to articulate the importance of the humanities during the age of entrepreneurship, as well as the initiatives those scholars have created.

Australian university adapts, contributes to Class2Go

The University of Western Australia has joined the open-source online platform Class2Go. UWA courses will be accessible through a mobile app that will, in turn, be made available to Stanford.

Grants support research on state's prison realignment

The Stanford Criminal Justice Center has received support for its research on the implementation of California's Public Safety Realignment Act. The law went into effect a year ago and transfers authority for convicted felons to local counties.
