Nothing says election night like a wall covered in frantically updating newsfeeds. And the Stanford journalism program had the opportunity to witness Tuesday's election from its very own frenetic political data command center.

Campus community to honor its past and present veterans

Stanford will commemorate Veterans Day with several events, including a reception today in the Law School lounge, an evening of storytelling on Sunday and the placement of wreaths in Memorial Court and Memorial Auditorium on Monday.

Senate to hear report on new undergraduate requirements

At today's Faculty Senate meeting, Harry J. Elam Jr., vice provost for undergraduate education, will talk about the progress Stanford has made implementing the new Thinking Matters courses for freshmen and Ways of Thinking/Ways of Doing breadth requirements for undergraduates.

  • PG&E gas safety project update: The estimated completion of PG&E's gas line replacement project along Junipero Serra Boulevard on Stanford lands has been moved to mid-December. PG&E has received approval from the County of Santa Clara to work during extended hours in an effort to get the work done more quickly. Read the full announcement.
