Chi-Chang Kao named SLAC director, succeeding Drell

Chi-Chang Kao, an associate laboratory director at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, has been named the lab's fifth director, succeeding Persis Drell. Kao starts in his new position Nov. 1.

A study by faculty members Charles Eesley and William Miller determined that companies founded by the university's alumni generate trillions in annual revenue and have created 5.4 million jobs.

New Krosnick survey finds Obamacare confuses public

A national survey led by Stanford pollster Jon Krosnick finds that confusion reigns when it comes to the contents of the Affordable Care Act. But the more they know, the more people seem to like it.
