Massive open online courses, or MOOCs, have been the subject of much discussion on Stanford's campus and beyond. The latest issue of Stanford magazine explores many of the questions being raised and gives a broad overview of the evolution of online learning at Stanford.

No tickets required: "Gray Matters: Your Brain, Your Life and Brain Science in the 21st Century" is the topic of the 2012 Roundtable at Stanford. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 6, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Maples Pavilion. No tickets will be required. ABC News correspondent Juju Chang will moderate the discussion.
