New Kelp Forest Array will improve ocean monitoring

The new Kelp Forest Array, located just offshore of Stanford's Hopkins Marine Station, will provide the power and real-time data access scientists need to monitor the effects of climate change on the California coast.

Program will support 20 African students at Stanford

The new MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program will support 20 undergraduates from Sub-Saharan Africa at Stanford. The new program was announced during a United Nations special session yesterday highlighting the Education First initiative.

Stanford Management Company releases 2012 results

The Stanford University Merged Pool (MP) achieved a 1.0 percent investment return for the 12 months that ended June 30, 2012, according to the Stanford Managment Company. The MP is Stanford's primary investment pool and includes most of the university's endowment and expendable funds, as well as capital reserves from Stanford Hospital and Clinics and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.
