Problem Solving Philanthropy Workshop
The Problem Solving Philanthropy Workshop is an invitation-only learning experience for high net worth donors who are seeking to develop their philanthropic strategies.
The Effective Philanthropy Lab (EPL) is partnering with SV2, a vibrant giving network of more than 200 partners who come together to learn about effective giving and pool their money and talent to support promising social ventures throughout Silicon Valley and the world.
Project’s Guiding Questions:
How might we teach philanthropy strategy using a case-based approach?
Many philanthropists are unsure how to reach their intended outcome, how to assess progress along the way, and how to determine whether they succeeded in achieving their goals. Regardless of a philanthropist’s areas of concern, there are some fundamental steps necessary to maximize his or her impact. In this two-day workshop, we hope to provide philanthropists with a strategic framework through in-depth case studies.
Our Target Users
Personal Strategy Wrestler
Philanthropists who might lack a strong network of peers or advisors with whom to discuss their philanthropy, and are hungry for a way to workshop and get feedback on their personal strategy.
If we provide personal strategy wrestlers with the opportunity to work through a philanthropic strategy framework with their peers, they will be able to increase the focus of their own philanthropy and have a greater impact.
