9/4/13 - Acrobat Pro complains about suite activation

9/4/13 - 20 second delay in printing to Ptolemy or Escher from Mac OS X

The new printer drivers for the Ptolemy and Escher poster printers under Mac OS X first attempt to query the printers when you send a print job. But printing is actually going to a queue on pangea, not directly to the printers, so the query never gets the response it wants. After 20 seconds, it times out and the computer proceeds to send the print job. The result is a 20 second delay on sending any print jobs to these poster printers from Mac OS X. This problem does not occur in Windows.

9/4/13 - Acrobat Pro complains about suite activation

The first time you open the Adobe Acrobat Pro application on one of the GRID lab computers, it may complain that it is part of a suite and that you need to open another one of the suite applications to activate. Acrobat will not continue until you do this. Simply quit Acrobat and open PhotoShop. After PhotoShop completely opens, you can quit it and re-open Acrobat. You will not get the message again on that computer.
