School of Engineering
Stanford Engineering has been at the forefront of innovation for nearly a century, creating pivotal technologies that have transformed the worlds of information technology, communications, medicine, energy, business and more. Stanford engineers have established thousands of companies and provided the foundation for Silicon Valley. The school pursues multidisciplinary collaboration to solve global problems.
School of Humanities and Sciences
Educating most of Stanford’s undergraduates and nearly half of its doctoral candidates, the School of Humanities and Sciences has established an unparalleled culture of inquiry and discovery. Six of its graduate programs are ranked number one in the nation by U.S. News & World Report—more than any other university.
School of Medicine
Combining education, research and patient care, the School of Medicine has a worldwide reputation for groundbreaking advances in the understanding and treatment of disease—and in the education of future clinician and innovators in the biomedical sciences and public health.

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
SLAC is a leader in exploring frontier questions of science. Our facilities are used to solve scientific mysteries—from the workings of subatomic particles to the structure and function of matter to the nature of the cosmos—with potential to improve life for all of us. Scientists, engineers, technicians and support professionals work together at SLAC to conduct world-class research in high-energy physics, photon sciences, advanced accelerator physics, and particle astrophysics/cosmology.
