Dani Zhao

I am a third year MD/PhD student in Roel Nusse's lab. My research interest center upon understanding the mechanisms of development and stem cell differentiation and how these principles may be applied to enhance tissue injury repair. I graduated from Stanford in 2009 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. After graduation, I took a year off to continue my undergraduate research in the Helms lab on the activity of liposomal Wnt and its effects on skin wound healing. When I am not doing science, I am an avid fashion enthusiast (my other dream job would definitely be in fashion), a beginner cyclist (let's ride!), and an adventurous cook.
