AccessTech, hosted by BART, is a one-day summit where transit and technology will come together with the goal of improving the accessibility of the BART system for those with mobility impairments.

At this interactive learning event, BART, its riders, disability advocates, and technology developers will take a deep dive into BART’s latest accessibility efforts. Participants will explore ways to improve the transit ridership experience for passengers with sensory and mobility challenges through cutting-edge technologies.

AccessTech’s panel of industry experts will share innovations in tech for accessibility from around the world. Curated breakout sessions will provide an interactive forum to discuss mapping the latest in mobile, wearable, and beacon development to improvements in the door-to-door Bay Area transit experience.

Join BART and a coalition of leading Bay Area agencies, companies, advocates, and developers on this pressing challenge in civic innovation.

The event will take place at Berkeley City College, a half a block west of the Downtown Berkeley BART station on Wednesday, June 8, 2016
