FDP CNIPS Training

The Nutrition Services Division (NSD) is pleased to provide Food Distribution Program (FDP) training resources to assist you with implementation of the Child Nutrition Information and Payment System (CNIPS).

In addition to the integrated help feature in the CNIPS, training videos and a comprehensive FDP User Manual are available. For assistance, please contact the CNIPS Help Desk at 800-952-5609, option 6 or CNIPS@cde.ca.gov.

Recorded Training

This training includes software simulation or “how to” videos for the key components of the CNIPS. The software simulation videos are approximately five to fifteen minutes in length.

NOTE: These software simulation videos use Adobe Flash Player, providing an easy-to-use interface for learning the CNIPS. We recommend downloading the most current version of Adobe Flash Player to view these videos from Adobe Flash Player (Outside Source).

   This presentation provides an overview of the CNIPS project including system functions, implementation schedule, and training resources.

   This video simulates how to view and operate recorded training sessions.
3. Logging On
   This video simulates how to initially log on to the CNIPS and change your password.
4. Viewing and Printing Food Distribution Program Invoices
   This video simulates how to view and print FDP invoices for remittance in the CNIPS.
5. Completing and Submitting the Contract Packet
   This video simulates how to complete and submit the Contract Packet component of the CNIPS for review and approval.
6. Responding to Processing Surveys from the Food Distribution Program
   This video simulates how to respond to processing surveys from the FDP in the CNIPS.
7. Ordering Commodities from the Food Distribution Program
   This video simulates how to order commodities from the FDP in the CNIPS.
8. Responding to Commodity Surveys from the Food Distribution Program
   This video simulates how to respond to commodity surveys from the FDP in the CNIPS.

   This video simulates declining an allocation in the FDP module of the CNIPS.
