SFSP CNIPS Training

The Nutrition Services Division (NSD) is pleased to provide Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) training resources to assist you with implementation of the Child Nutrition Information and Payment System (CNIPS).

In addition to the integrated help feature in the CNIPS, training videos and a comprehensive SFSP User Manual are available. For assistance, please contact the CNIPS Help Desk at 800-952-5609, option 6 or CNIPS@cde.ca.gov.

Recorded Training

This training includes software simulation or “how to” videos for the key components of the CNIPS. The software simulation videos are approximately five to fifteen minutes in length.

NOTE: These software simulation videos use Adobe Flash Player, providing an easy-to-use interface for learning the CNIPS. We recommend downloading the most current version of Adobe Flash Player to view these videos from Adobe Flash Player (Outside Source).

   This presentation provides an overview of the CNIPS project including system functions, implementation schedule, and training resources.

   This video simulates how to view and operate recorded training sessions.

   This video simulates how to initially log on to the CNIPS and change your password.

   This video simulates how to access your application packet for the first time, and apply for the 2009-10 program year.
