Chaptering of Assembly Bill 1663
On October 10, 2007, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law Assembly Bill (AB) 1663 (Evans and Romero), Chapter 454, Statutes of 2007. AB 1663 brings state statutes into conformance with the federal regulations that were issued in 2006 following the 2004 reauthorization of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. AB 1663 was an urgency measure, which means that the Education Code sections in AB 1663 became effective on October 10, 2007.
