Border Wait Time

The Border Wait Time app makes it easier for travelers to plan their trip across the border. The app provides estimated wait times and open lane status at land ports of entry allowing travelers to make an informed decision of where and when to cross the border. Wait times for pedestrian and passenger and commercial vehicle crossings are broken down by lane type (standard, SENTRI, NEXUS, FAST, Ready Lane, etc.). Travelers can download the app for free from Apple’s App Store and Google Play.

eFOIA

With the eFOIA mobile app, you can submit FOIA requests or check the status of requests anytime, anywhere.  Access all of the content on the FOIA website, including the FOIA Library.  And receive  updates, event notices, and recently published documents.

FEMA App

Available for Android, Apple iOS, and Blackberry, the FEMA App contains disaster safety tips, an interactive emergency kit list, emergency meeting location information, and a map with open shelters and open FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs).  Android and Apple iOS users can also use the Disaster Reporter feature - which allows them to take and submit GPS photo reports of disasters so they can be displayed on a public map for others to view.

Provides authorized first responders the information necessary to safely control incident locations. Available for the iPhone/iPad, Android, and Window PC.

Lost Person Behavior (Fee Required)

 The Lost Person Behavior mobile app provides step-by-step instructions on search plans, guidance, protocols and strategies for first responders and response teams.  The app was developed by the DHS Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) First Responders Group working in conjunction with search and rescue (SAR) teams around the nation.

Mobile Passport

Mobile Passport Control (MPC) is the first authorized app to expedite travelers’ entry into the United States. U.S. and Canadian citizens can submit their information to CBP via the app prior to arrival. Android and iPhone users can download the Mobile Passport app for free from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Operation Predator App

E-Verify

For employers, using information reported on an employee's Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, to determine the eligibility of that employee to work in the United States. For most employers, the use of E-Verify is voluntary and limited to determining the employment eligibility of new hires only. There is no charge to employers to use E-Verify.

Immigration Apps

Immigration Appointment Scheduler (InfoPass)

A free service that lets you schedule an appointment with a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Immigration Officer by using the Internet at any time of day or night. If you have an immigration issue that is best handled by a trained USCIS Immigration Officer, InfoPass will let you schedule your appointment instead of requesting it in person at your local USCIS office.

Naturalization Self Test

A study tool to help you test your knowledge of U.S. history and government. The actual civics test is NOT a multiple choice test. The civics test is an oral test. During your naturalization interview, you will be asked up to 10 questions from the list of 100. You must answer six out of 10 correctly to pass.

FEMA Map Service Center

For homeowners and renters, real estate and insurance agents, engineers/surveyors and federal customers to help them locate and view flood maps. All customers wishing to make purchases at the FEMA Flood Map Store are required to register.

FloodSmart

Use a one-step flood risk profile tool to rate your risk for a flood, estimate your premiums and find an agent. In 1968, Congress created the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) to provide flood insurance protection to property owners, in return for local government commitment to sound floodplain management and related flood disaster mitigation efforts. An NFIP flood insurance policy can be obtained directly from the federal government or through an insurance company.

Mapping & Analysis Center

The Mapping and Analysis Center provides national level mapping using geographic information systems to support the National Response and Coordination Center during disaster response activations. Special products are available for Hurricane Katrina, historic presidential declarations and presidential declarations between 2000 and January 2010.

Mapping Information Platform (partial Login)

A wealth of useful information about floodplain mapping, including tools, map viewer, user care and resources for mapping partners including files that help you view flood hazards using Google Earth. National Fire Department Census Registration

An online address listing of U.S. fire departments registered with USFA as well as some basic information about each fire department. The purpose of the census, which is ongoing, is to create a national database for use by USFA to conduct special studies that will guide program decision-making and to improve direct communication with individual fire departments

National Fire Incident Reporting System (Login)

The standard national reporting system used by U.S. fire departments to report fires and other incidents to which they respond and to maintain records of these incidents in a uniform manner. The NFIRS represents the world's largest, national, annual database of fire incident information.

National Response Center for Oil and Chemical Spills

The sole national point of contact for reporting all oil, chemical, radiological, biological, and etiological discharges into the environment anywhere in the United States and its territories. The NRC is staffed by Coast Guard personnel who maintain a 24 hour per day, 365 day per year telephone watch, and an online reporting tool.

This self-guided, Web-based training course trains participants to help improve security at your chemical facility. When the program is completed, participants are better prepared to recognize potentially dangerous situations. Domestic Preparedness Campus (Login)

For first-responders to learn how to apply the basic skills of their profession in the context of preparing, preventing, deterring, responding to and recovering from acts of terrorism and catastrophic events. Course subjects range from weapons of mass destruction (WMD) terrorism, cyber-security, and agro-terrorism to citizen preparedness and public works. National Computer Forensics Institute (Login)

Dedicated to the education of law enforcement professionals in the field of computer forensics and digital evidence handling techniques. Training is offered by the U.S. Secret Service for state and local law enforcement officers, prosecutors and judges from across the country.

National Emergency Training Center (Learning Resource Center)

One of the most comprehensive collections in the United States of materials relating to the fire service and to emergency management. Airport Wait Times

CBP closely monitors the flight processing times, commonly referred to as wait times, for arriving flights at 23 of the busiest international airports. The flight processing time is the length of time from flight arrival to the time the last passenger on the flight is screened by CBP officers in the primary processing area.

Border Wait Times

Estimated wait times for reaching the primary inspection booth, the first point of contact with CBP when crossing the Canada/U.S. and Mexico/U.S. land borders. DHS Travelers Redress Inquiry Program (TRIP)

For travelers who have been repeatedly identified for additional screening and who want to file an inquiry to have erroneous information corrected in DHS systems.

Electronic System for Travel Authorization (Login)

International travelers who are seeking to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) are subject to enhanced security requirements and are required to pay an administrative fee. All eligible travelers who wish to travel to the U.S. under the Visa Waiver Program must apply for authorization and then pay the fee.

Global Entry Program (Login)

Allows registered users to enter their own applications for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler Programs, and approved members to edit their information as needed. Mistakes on the original application cannot be corrected once the application is certified - bring these issues to the attention of CBP during your interview.
