National Area and County-Level Multi-Pollutant Information

  1. Area Multi-Pollutant Reports

    1. Summary Nonattainment Area Population Exposure Report

This report is a summary of the population living in an area that is in nonattainment for at least one of the NAAQS. It groups criteria pollutant nonattainment areas that are in similar geographic locations and estimates the total estimated population for nonattainment areas for a single pollutant, and across all criteria pollutants.

    2. Criteria Pollutant Nonattainment Area Summary Report

This report includes the Number of Counties, Population and Classification with links to counties included in each area. The listing is by State then Area (all criteria pollutants on a single line).

    3. Details of Criteria Pollutant Nonattainment Area Summary Report

This report contains in a list format the same information that is in the Criteria Criteria Pollutant Nonattainment Area Summary Report. The listing is by State, Area then Pollutant (each criteria pollutant on a separate line).

  2. State/County Multi-Pollutant Reports

    1. Nonattainment/Maintenance Status for Each County by Year for All Criteria Pollutants

This report is state by state and includes Nonattainment and Maintenance Areas with History, and Counties Currently or Previously Designated Nonattainment. It includes counties in revoked NAAQS (e.g., 1-hour Ozone).

    2. Current Nonattainment Area Counties for All Criteria Pollutants

This report includes only Counties Designated Nonattainment, listed by State, County then Pollutant.

    3. Whole or Part County Nonattainment Status by Year Since 1978 for All Criteria Pollutants

This report includes counties in nonattainment for all criteria pollutants during each calendar year since 1978. It is listed by state, county then pollutant, including counties in revoked NAAQS (e.g., 1-hour Ozone). Counties are marked as "P" if part of the county is in nonattainment for the pollutant for the year, or "W" if the whole county is in nonattainment for the pollutant. Neither "P" nor "W" for a year indicates that the county was not in a designated nonattainment area for the year for that pollutant or that the nonattainment area had been redesignated to maintenance.

    4. Whole or Part County Nonattainment Status by Year for TSP since 1978 and PM-10 Since 1991

This report includes counties in nonattainment for TSP and PM-10 during each calendar year since 1978 for TSP and 1991 for PM-10. It is listed by state, county then pollutant. Counties are marked as "P" if part of the county is in nonattainment for the pollutant for the year, or "W" if the whole county in nonattainment for the pollutant. Neither "P" nor "W" for a year indicates that the county was not in a designated nonattainment area for the year for that pollutant or that the nonattainment area had been redesignated to maintenance.
