STANFORD, Calif. – Nineteen Stanford men’s swimming and diving student-athletes earned academic recognition from the Pac-12 Conference, as announced Friday by commissioner Larry Scott.

Stanford placed seven student-athletes on the first team, the most of any league program. The Cardinal added five second-team performers and seven honorable mention selections.

Mechanical engineering major Ryan Arata had a league-best 4.02 grade-point average.

To be eligible for selection to the Pac-12 All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and participate in at least half of their team’s scheduled regular season events.
