NORMAN, Okla. – Stanford concluded its season Saturday at the NCAA Individual Event Finals as Sean Senters and Brian Knott earned NCAA titles and five gymnasts claimed at least one All-America honor.
Senters scored 15.475 on vault and Knott tallied a 15.200 on parallel bars to win the first NCAA titles of their careers. The championships were Stanford’s second and third this season after Akash Modi claimed the all-around title Friday with a season-best score of 90.450.
The Cardinal was well-represented in All-America honors during the weekend with five Stanford gymnasts combining for 10 awards. It is the most All-America honors at a single NCAA Championships since 2011 when the team produced 11.
Modi led the team with five All-America honors, earning national recognition in the all-around (1st, 90.450), floor (T-8th, 15.350), pommel horse (3rd, 14.750), parallel bars (2nd, 15.100) and high bar (2nd, 15.100). His five honors is the most of any Cardinal gymnast since Dan Gill earned five awards in 2004.
Modi earned three awards in 2014 and is now an eight-time All-American.
Along with Knott’s first-place finish on parallel bars, he earned national recognition on pommel horse with a 13.675 to place eighth. He scored four of Stanford’s top six scores on pommel horse and registered three of the top-10 results on parallel bars during the regular season. Knott concludes his collegiate career as a four-time All-American.
Senters spent nearly every week of the regular season ranked in the top three in the nation on vault and showcased his elite talent in the event throughout the weekend, culminating in his first collegiate title. He logged seven of Stanford’s top-10 scores in the event throughout the regular season. Senters finishes his career as a six-time All-American.

Taylor Seaton and Robert Neff picked up the first All-America honors of their collegiate careers. Seaton scored 15.000 on vault to place fourth and Neff registered a 14.625 on high bar to finish seventh.
Michael Levy and Dennis Zaremski also competed during Saturday’s competition, narrowly missing All-America honors by finishing ninth in their events. Levy went 15.125 on rings, while Zaremski tallied a 14.350 on parallel bars.
Saturday’s competition was the final collegiate meet for seniors Senters, Knott and Levy. The senior class will leave a large void to fill for the Cardinal with each graduating as All-Americans. However, the future remains bright as Stanford expects to return 16 letterwinners next season.
