STANFORD, Calif. – Five members of the Stanford men’s golf team received scholastic honors Wednesday from the Pac-12 Conference.
The Pac-12 All-Academic team included Dominick Francks (atmosphere and energy), Maverick McNealy (management science and engineering), David Boote (human biology), Patrick Grimes (psychology) and Viraat Badhwar (undeclared).
Francks was a first-team selection, with McNealy finding a spot on the second team. Boote, Grimes and Badhwar received honorable mention.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and participate in at least half of their team’s scheduled regular season events.
Each of Stanford’s five eligible student-athletes received the distinction.
