STANFORD, Calif. – Future Stanford women’s golfer Albane Valenzuela will compete for the Vagliano Trophy when Great Britain and Ireland’s team of nine will challenge the Continent of Europe at Ireland’s Malone Golf Club in Belfast (June 26-27).
Valenzuela, one of Switzerland’s top-ranked amateurs and a member of the Swiss National Team since 2012, will compete for the Continent of Europe.
Since 1959, the Vagliano Trophy has been at stake in a biennial match between Great Britain and Ireland and the Continent of Europe.
This will be the 29th match in the series. Great Britain and Ireland has won 16 matches, but Europe has been on a roll with four victories in a row since 2007.
