STANFORD, Calif. -- Stanford incoming freshman Brandon Wulff was named a third team ABCA/Rawlings High School All-American, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced Thursday. Wulff, who was a co-valedictorian at Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), hit .459 with eight homers and 54 RBI in 33 games this spring, according to Bishop Gorman’s website.

The power hitter is one of 11 outfielders listed on the ABCA/Rawlings All-America list. He was also a first team All-Region 8 honoree.

Wulff was one of 12 players to sign letters of intent to Stanford for 2015-16. Signees Mitchell Hansen (2nd round, Los Angeles Dodgers) and Tristan Beck (34th round, Milwaukee Brewers) were drafted by Major League teams. Beck has told media outlets that he will honor his commitment, while Hansen signed for $997,500, according to MLB.com.
