Five IRA All-Academic

STANFORD, Calif. – The Stanford men’s rowing team placed five individuals on the IRA All-Academic team.

The five Cardinal making the grade were Landon Alecxih (economics), Erik Holmvik (political science), Scott Roycroft (earth systems), Kaess Smit (mechanical engineering) and Nathalie Weiss (art history).

Seniors Roycroft and Smit each picked up their third consecutive selection to the IRA All-Academic teams. Weiss made it two straight, while Alecxih and Holmvik were first time selections.

In order to be eligible for the IRA All-Academic team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a GPA of 3.35 or higher and must have competed at the IRA National Championships.

In all there were 295 student-athletes honored from 30 different schools.
