GWANGJU,South Korea - Stanford men's gymnastics' rising junior Akash Modi won the bronze medal in the all-around this past weekend at the World University Games.
Modi went 88.300 in the all-around to finish behind Ukraine’s Oleg Verniaiev (92.075) and Japan’s Shogo Nonomura (89.275).
Based on preliminary round performances, Modi will also compete in the event finals for the floor exercise, pommel horse, parallel bars and horizontal bar.
Event final winners will be determined July 7. The individual event finals will be shown live on ESPN 3.
