STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford women’s gymnastics alumna Liz Tricase was recently inducted into the USA Gymnastics Region 5 Hall of Fame.

The USA Gymnastics Region 5 Hall of Fame has been developed to recognize individuals within the Region 5 gymnastics community who have contributed significantly to the growth, promotion or visibility of USA Region 5 Gymnastics. Fellow 2015 inductees include Judy Dobransky and Samantha Peszek.

Tricase had an illustrious career at Stanford and was a two-time first-team All-American, earning honors on vault in 2007 and uneven bars in 2008. She is one of two Stanford gymnasts in program history to score a perfect 10.0 on uneven bars – accomplishing the feat three times in her career.

Tricase earned a seventh-place finish on bars at the 2008 NCAA Championships and registered three consecutive Pac-10 titles in the event from 2006-08. She claimed the 2007 South Central Regional vault title and the 2008 Central Regional bars title.

A natural leader, Tricase captained the team three years and was honored as the program’s Most Inspirational Gymnast in 2007 and received the team’s Cardinal Gymnast of the Year award in 2008.

Prior to attending Stanford, Tricase produced an impressive resume competing in numerous national and international events. She was voted a three-time USA Gymnastics Sportsperson of the Year from 2002-04, competed for Team USA at the 2004 FL Gym Open in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, and the 2002 Spring Cup in Burlington, Ontario. Among her many national accomplishments, Tricase won the 2002 U.S. title on vault.
