STANFORD, Calif. -- The highlight of Stanford’s fall lacrosse season annually comes with its East Coast trip.
Two years ago, Stanford played the U.S. national team in Towson, Maryland. Last year, the Cardinal participated in a day-long series of scrimmages at the Naval Academy.
This year, Stanford competes in back-to-back events. On Saturday, Stanford plays at the University of Pennsylvania Scrimmage. On Sunday, the Cardinal plays in a similar event at the University of Maryland.
At Penn, Stanford will play three shortened games : against Delaware (10:30 a.m. ET), Penn (11:30 a.m.), and Boston College (1:30 p.m.).
At Maryland, Stanford plays two-time defending NCAA champion Maryland (9 a.m. ET), Georgetown (11 a.m.), and Elon (1 p.m.).
Stanford completes its fall season with three home events:
October 19, 3:30 p.m.: Scrimmage vs. New Zealand national team (turf field)
October 23, 5:30 p.m.: Alumnae Scrimmage (turf field)
October 25, 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.: Stanford PlayDay (turf and intramural fields)
