STANFORD, Calif. – Stephanie Amack and Andi Sullivan were named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, as announced recently by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Amack, a mechanical engineering major, was named to the District 8 first team, while Sullivan (undeclared) earned second-team honors.
Amack holds a 3.48 cumulative GPA and spent the summer of 2015 assisting in research at the Bajcsy electrical engineering lab at UC Berkeley. She has played every game this season for the Cardinal at outside back, helping hold opponents to 10 goals in 18 matches. Amack has contributed offensively as well, generating two goals and an assist, and making regular runs forward to get involved in the attack.
Sullivan boasts a 3.41 GPA and has played in all 18 games this season for Stanford. She is tied for the team lead in goals with five and game-winning goals with three. Impressive offensive numbers considering Sullivan primarily plays in a holding midfielder position and is a key distributor in the midfield. Her defensive effort has helped Stanford earn 10 shutouts this season.
The Academic All-District teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
