STANFORD, Calif. – Three Stanford players were named Longstreth/NFHCA All-Region selections, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
Sarah Helgeson and Maddie Secco were named to the First Team, while Dulcie Davies received Second Team honors.
The trio becomes eligible for All-America recognition which will be announced Dec. 7.
The honor is the second All-Region honor for both Davies and Secco and first for Helgeson.
The Cardinal (13-7) advanced to the NCAA First Round, with highlight wins over No. 5 Duke, No. 15 Iowa and No. 14 Northwestern in the regular season.
The season also saw head coach Tara Danielson collect her 100th career win while seeing the Cardinal claim the No. 1 seed in the America East Conference West Division in its inaugural year in the conference. Maddie Secco and Dulcie Davies claimed America East Offensive Player of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year respectively, while six Cardinal were named to America East All-Conference teams.
