STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford released its 2016 football schedule Tuesday, which includes six home contests and two Friday affairs.
The Cardinal begins the season at home against first-time opponent Kansas State (Sept. 2) in a Friday matchup at Stanford Stadium.
After a bye week, Stanford plays host to USC (Sept. 17) to open Pac-12 Conference play before road trips to UCLA (Sept. 24) and a Friday tilt at Washington (Sept. 30).
Stanford will visit Notre Dame (Oct. 15) between home games against Washington State (Oct. 8) and Colorado (Oct. 22). The Colorado matchup will be the centerpiece of Stanford’s Reunion Homecoming.
Road games at Arizona (Oct. 29) and Oregon (Nov. 12) sandwich a home game with Oregon State (Nov. 5).
The 119th edition of the Big Game will be contested at Cal on Nov. 19.
Rice (Nov. 26) will visit Stanford Stadium on Thanksgiving weekend for the first time since 1964 to end the regular season.
The Pac-12 Championship Game will be contested Dec. 2.
