LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Six Cardinal men qualified for the Winter Cup finals after the qualifying rounds completed Thursday night at the Cashman Convention Center. Eight spots remain to be filled on the U.S. National Team, which will be determined on Saturday.
The Cardinal has four current members still competing with Akash Modi, Grant Breckenridge, Robert Neff and Taylor Seaton still in the competition, while former Cardinal Eddie Penev and Josh Dixon also remain in the hunt.
In the overall, Akash Modi is ranked fifth with an 86.850 score while tying for the overall high score of 15.050 in the high bar. Right behind him is Eddie Penev with an 86.650 score while leading the competition in floor with a 15.350 score.
Josh Dixon ranks next at 12th with an 85.050 right before Grant Breckenridge in 13th at 84.700. Rounding out the six left in competition are Robert Neff in 16th with an 83.200 and Taylor Seaton in 64th with a 57.400 score.
The final for the Winter Cup will take place Saturday, Feb. 20 at 7:15 p.m. in Las Vegas, Nev.
