Spring Practice Begins

STANFORD, Calif. - Defending Rose Bowl Game champion Stanford will begin its 2016 spring practice Tuesday at the Elliott Practice Fields. Tuesday’s practice will kick off the first of two spring sessions, commencing with the Cardinal and White Spring Game on April 9 at Cagan Stadium on the campus of Stanford University. The game will be televised live at 1 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Networks.

The Cardinal and White Spring Game is open to the public. Admission and parking is free.

Stanford’s practices on Feb. 27 (10-12:20 p.m. PT), March 5 (10-11:45) and April 2 (TBD) will be open to the public.

The first session of spring practice concludes March 7, with the second session spanning from March 29-April 9.

In addition to the upcoming practices, Stanford’s NFL Pro Timing Day is slated for March 17. The field events at Elliott Practice Fields are open to the public starting at 11:15 a.m.

Devon Cajuste, Kevin Hogan, Austin Hooper, Joshua Garnett, Blake Martinez and Kyle Murphy will take part in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. The combine will be televised from Feb. 26-29 on NFL Network.

The NFL Draft takes place April 28-30 in Chicago.

Stanford won its third Pac-12 Conference title in four seasons in 2015 and ranked third in the final AP poll. The Cardinal finished 12-2 after routing Iowa, 45-16, in the Rose Bowl Game on Jan. 1.
