STANFORD, Calif. - No. 14 Stanford takes to its home pitch again Saturday as it sets to host Harvard. Game time is set for noon at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
The Cardinal (2-1) is rolling off an 18-7 win Sunday afternoon against then No. 16 Ohio State. Anna Salemo was phenomenal for the Cardinal scoring four goals and adding two assists. For her efforts on the week Salemo was named MPSF Offensive Player of the Week.
The Cardinal’s opponent, the Harvard Crimson (1-0) travels into the Bay Area ready to take on the Cardinal before heading to Saint Mary’s College on Sunday afternoon. In the Crimson’s season opener Harvard topped Hofstra last Saturday 16-8, with Julia Glynn netting six goals.
Last year the Cardinal traveled to Cambridge, Mass. where it topped the Crimson 15-10. In Coach Amy Bokker’s tenure, Stanford has posted a 4-1 record, while holding onto a three game winning streak headed into Saturday’s game.
