STANFORD, Calif. – Sophomore Allie DaCar has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference.
DaCar, a native of Dublin, Calif. tied a career-high of 14 saves in a 13-4 win over Harvard last Saturday. On the day, DaCar recorded an incredible .778 save percentage while stopping a 2016 conference-high 14 shots of the 18 she faced.
The honor is the career first for DaCar, who was named MPSF Rookie of the Week three times in 2015.
No. 13 Stanford continues its home stand this week as it sets to host Vanderbuilt this Sunday. Game time is set for 1 p.m. at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
