STANFORD, Calif. - No. 20 Stanford (6-3, 1-1 Pac-12) opens a seven-match homestand this weekend, hosting No. 43 USC and No. 25 UCLA as conference play continues.

That’s the plan, at least, with heavy rain in the Bay Area expected throughout the weekend. A couple weather-related updates heading into Friday:

Friday’s 1:30 p.m. match against USC is likely to be postponed. It will either be played as scheduled on Friday, or moved to Sunday at a time to be determined. USC is set to play at California on Saturday.

Saturday’s 12 p.m. match against UCLA will likely be moved up to 11 a.m. Both teams are discussing arrangements if Saturday’s match is cancelled due to rain. UCLA is scheduled to play at California on Friday.

Stanford had won five in a row before falling 4-3 at Arizona State – only its second loss to the Sun Devils in 56 all-time meetings.

The Cardinal, which is unbeaten in five home matches this season, will enjoy a seven-day break following its matchup against the Bruins.

Stanford boasts four nationally-ranked singles players: Taylor Davidson (26), Caroline Doyle (55), Carol Zhao (59) and Krista Hardebeck (88).

Two doubles teams are ranked: Davidson/Doyle (3) and Hardebeck and Caroline Lampl (49).
