STANFORD, Calif. – Sarah Helgeson and incoming GK Kelsey Bing of the Stanford Field Hockey team will represent the Cardinal this week in the Junior Women's Pan American Championship in Trinidad and Tobago. Bing and Helgeson will both compete on the United States U-21 team starting competition on March 31.
The tournament is composed of two pools comprising nine countries. The U.S. team is set to commence play on Thursday in the last game of the day against the host country of Trinidad and Tobago. A full schedule and more information can be found here.
The top two finishers of the Pan American Championship earn berth to the Junior Women's World Cup November 23 - December 4 in Chile.
