Grand Challenges in Organismal Biology

NSF has presented the SICB with a significant opportunity to initiate the framing of the "Grand Challenge" questions to drive funding in Organismal Biology. The timeline, however, is short. To facilitate input from all members of SICB, a discussion board/chat room has been set up where possible articulations of "Grand Challenge" questions can be posted, discussed and honed.

SICB members Lou Burnett and David Scholnick appeared on the NBC Today Show to talk about their work on shrimp physiology using a treadmill that has been made famous on the internet through YouTube.
