College/Employer: Stanford

Year of Graduation: G

Picture of Whitney Johnson

Brief Biographical Sketch:

I grew up near Houston, TX, and did my undergraduate work at Southwestern University, a small liberal arts college near Austin, TX. While earning a BS degree in biochemistry there, I also participated in a student run project to create an editable computer game, helping with a lot of the art design. This is when I got addicted to Blender, a free, open-source application for making and rendering 3D art. I worked on the computer game project for about two years, during which I taught many people, both college and high school students, how to use the Blender software. Since moving to Stanford last fall, I've been itching to start playing around with Blender again, and to teach new, enthusiastic students how to make amazing 3D art!
