Take VTA to the Tech’s “Innovations in Health Care”

What could be healthier than using transit (or walking or biking) to the Tech Museum of Innovation’s “Innovations in Health Care” exhibit?

This exhibit explores health care technologies that save lives and the innovation process behind them. “Many innovations came from unlikely sources of inspiration or are solutions created by inventors outside of relevant fields,” the Tech’s introduction explains.

The exhibit, presented by El Camino Hospital, considers remote diagnosis, filtering water in developing nations, designing and building technology within constraints, and how 3D printing could someday be used to create skin and organs.

Class Pass Program

If you’re a K-12 teacher in Santa Clara County, our Class Pass program makes it affordable (FREE) to take your students on a field trip to the Tech or any other museums, cultural events, libraries and other popular educational destinations.
Each teacher is eligible for up to two Class Passes per school year, covering students, teachers and chaperones on VTA bus and light rail. Apply for a Class Pass for your next field trip, and email with questions.
There are a number of other exhibits at the Tech today, including: The Tech Museum of Innovation has been a valuable partner in VTA’s innovation efforts. The museum hosted our Hack My Ride: VTA’s Transportation Idea Jam in 2014 and the kickoff hackathon for our Hack My Ride 2.0 app challenge last summer.

VTA is grateful for the Tech’s partnership, and hopes you, your family and your students will take some time to enjoy what the museum has to offer.
