SOT, Dmitri Kulkov, reporter of channel 5 St petersburg (in Russian): "We were riding along with a Russia Today-Ruptly filming crew to Dmitrovka village, where troops of the Ukrainian National Guard were deployed. When we were on our way, two BTR2 blocked our way, appearing suddenly on the road at high speed. They were followed by armed men, who started shooting in the air. A lot of shots were fired and it was not clear where they were aiming at. Our driver managed to turn the car aside. Probably that saved our lives as we saw they were in a very aggressive mood. If we had smashed into them (BRT2) they would have shot at us. As we had to carry out an emergency stop the brakes in our car broke and we had to spend some time on the road between villages near Kramatorsk that is under control of Ukraine's National Guard."

Ukraine: Army opens fire at Ruptly car on the way to Dmitrovka

A car transporting journalists from Ruptly and Channel 5 from St. Petersburg was targeted by two Ukrainian BTR2 near Dmitrovka village on Thursday. During this encounter the Ukrainian army fired several warning shots in the direction of the car.

While trying to escape, the vehicle went off the road causing damage to the engine and busting the car breaks. Several vehicles on the road have been experiencing similar encounters few kilometres from this place.
