Sustainable Features

  • EPA hired a resource efficiency manager to identify short-term energy conservation measures at the facility, including repairing steam leaks, modifying controls, and upgrading the building envelope. These identified measures could reduce the facility’s energy consumption by 5 percent compared to previous years.
  • The facility is undertaking an infrastructure replacement project that would rebuild the facility’s air handling units.
  • Porous asphalt parking spaces were installed in the guest parking lot.
