Thursday, April 14, 2016 (All day)
Asian American Activities Center

The application deadline is Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 9AM.

New Student Orientation (NSO) strives to acclimate each entering freshman and transfer class to life at Stanford by introducing them to the University's diverse educational opportunities and resources; acquainting them with other students and University staff; helping them feel at home in their residential community; and creating in them a sense of place in Stanford's history as contributing members. Community centers and programs play a vital role in NSO as one of the major program providers in supporting new students and their families.

Working under the supervision of the Asian American Activities Center, the Asian American New Student Orientation Committee (AANSOC) Coordinator plays a significant role in the planning and execution of the Asian American community’s NSO programs while gaining valuable leadership skills. The AANSOC Coordinator will complete training and begin event planning spring quarter, stay in communication with NSO staff during the summer, and return to campus on September 16 to implement their programs. NSO 2016 will take place Tuesday, September 20 – Sunday, September 25, 2016. The 2016 AANSOC application and more information about the position are available online.  Remember to select “Asian American New Student Orientation Committee (AANSOC)” as your first choice.
