Addressing the challenges created by an “always on” work schedule, Rosan Gomperts will discuss how taking breaks from work can feel impossible — although research shows that “getting away” improves your mood and helps your come back refreshed, recharged and with new ideas.
Rosan Gomperts, Director of the Faculty Staff Help Center at Stanford University, has been working with faculty and staff and their families for 19 years. She tries to practice what she preaches about not letting too much vacation time accrue.

If life has you wandering in circles, enter the labyrinth and discover that intentionally walking in a circular pattern can actually put direction back in your life — quieting your mind, helping you find balance, facilitating meditation, insight, prayer and celebration. This event is held on the new granite labyrinth at the Windhover contemplative center.
