Spring HIP and Rec Classes

On Tuesday, March 17, Spring Quarter class registration opens for Stanford Health Improvement Program (HIP) classes, at 9:00 a.m. (online); and Stanford Recreation & Wellness (Rec) classes, at 8:00 a.m. (online and in-person at AOERC). See their respective websites for detailed information on class schedules, descriptions and pricing.

Complete your SHALA to get access to the special BeWell rates for both HIP fitness classes and Rec Group Fitness Passes and select Recreational classes.

All HIP and Rec classes and Group Fitness Passes are Berry-eligible.

Rec classes

HIP classes

  • Healthy Living classes cover a multitude of topics to help you improve your well-being. Most qualify for STAP funding, and some fulfill BeWell’s Engagement option.

Main campus

Classes begin March 30 and end June 5.

HIP classes

  • Fitness classes, suiting all fitness levels, provide group instruction. BeWell participants are eligible for two discounted fitness classes each quarter.
  • Healthy Living classes cover a multitude of topics to help you improve your well-being. Most qualify for STAP funding, and some fulfill BeWell’s Engagement option.

Rec classes

  • Rec offers the Cardinal, Cardinal Cycling and Platinum Group Fitness Passes to give you access to dozens of weekly classes. BeWell participants qualify for special rates.
  • Recreational classes are instructional classes (including golf, badminton, Ashtanga yoga and more) to help you develop skills in the activity of your choice. Select classes qualify for BeWell pricing.
  • Aquatics classes improve your swimming skills at every level.
