The Business Affairs organization is led by Randy Livingston, Vice President for Business Affairs and Chief Financial Officer. Randy reports to Stanford's President John Hennessy. Business Affairs includes many of the administrative organizations that support Stanford's academic mission including: Research Financial Compliance & Services, Office of Sponsored Research, Financial Management Services (Controller's Office, Treasurer's Office, Purchasing & Payment Services, Global Services, and Financial Management Consulting & Services), Administrative Systems, IT Services, Office of Audit, Compliance, and Privacy, Information Security Office, Risk Management, Business Development, and Human Resources for Business Affairs.
The Office of the Vice President for Business Affairs and Chief Financial Officer coordinates activities, people, facilities and finance for the entire Business Affairs organization. In addition to the VP & CFO, it includes the AVP for Business Development, the AVP for Business Affairs Finance and Facilities and a Senior Financial Analyst.
