"Eidolon is a home for scholarly writing about Classics that isn’t formal scholarship. Our goal is to create a platform for essays that have a strong authorial voice and a unique point of view.

Eidolon is supported by the Paideia Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the study and appreciation of the classical humanities through programming in the US and abroad. Paideia brings together passionate scholars and enthusiasts at all levels — from tenured professors to high school students — to engage in study that is both intellectually rigorous and fosters strong personal and emotional connections to the ancient world."
