Jonathan Rabinovitz became Chief Communications Officer at Stanford Graduate School of Education in November 2012. He is available to assist members of the media who are working on education stories and would like help tapping into the school’s resources. He also provides information to the public at large about school initiatives and services, in addition to overseeing news content for the school’s website, print publications and social media.
Rabinovitz has previously worked as a reporter on the metropolitan desk of The New York Times, as the economy writer for the San Jose Mercury News and as an editor at the Industry Standard and Mother Jones magazines. He has worked in communications for more than a decade at Stanford, serving as editor of the law school’s alumni magazine, as the university’s media relations director and as managing editor in the medical school’s communications office.
Rabinovitz has a masters degree in journalism from the University of California-Berkeley and received his bachelors degree, with honors, in social studies from Harvard College.
