EUGENE, Ore. – Stanford was undone by a pair of big offensive innings by Oregon, falling to the Ducks 11-2 in six innings Friday night.

The Cardinal (11-13, 0-2 Pac-12) kept the game close through the first three and a half innings but the Ducks (25-4, 5-0 Pac-12) pulled away in the bottom of the fourth with a four run inning. Oregon finished the game in the sixth with three additional runs.

Haley Snyder (5-6) got the start in the circle for Stanford and kept the Cardinal within striking distance early. She finished the game permitting six runs on five hits and four walks with a strikeout. Kaitlyn Lagattuta came in as relief in the fourth.

Highlights from Friday's game at Oregon.

Oregon took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning for the second game in a row. After a leadoff walk, Nikki Udria hit a RBI-triple to right-center field. Udria was brought home on a sacrifice fly in the following at-bat.

Stanford had two runners on with one out in the top of the third inning but could not find the hit needed to get on the board.

The Ducks put together a two-out rally in the bottom half of the third to score two runs and double its lead to 4-0.

Snyder got two runs back and helped her own cause in the following frame, hitting a two-run home run to right field to cut the Ducks' lead to 4-2. It is her first home run of the season and the first homer in Oregon's new Jane Sanders Stadium history.

Oregon erupted for four runs in the bottom half of the inning to take a commanding 8-2 lead. Stanford continued to battle but the Ducks rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to earn a run-rule victory.

Stanford concludes its series at Oregon Saturday at Noon (PT).
